Jon McQueen (IMES) Water and Soils

Jon McQueen (IMES) Water and Soils

About Me:

Hello, all. I'm Jon McQueen. I'm 33 years old and I am a first year student with Daytona State College where I am majoring in Environmental Science. I moved myself and my family to Florida from NY State in July 2018, and I enjoy it here. I've been married to my wife Jessica of 9 years, and I have three kids, 16, 9, and 8 respectively. I've been working as a wet chemist for Pace Analytical for over a year now; from working there I've gained an interest in environmental science. My passion-hobbies are history, geography, boxing and barbering.

My Project:

From working with drinking waters and soils for Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen testing, I chose to tackle this topic head on as I have familiarity. I breaking this challenge up into three questions, I wanted to establish that the ways to save soils as well as protect drinking water were not as complex as believed. I wanted to give short but strong points, and have as much easily digestible information as possible for the average person with passing interest. I always felt that cool and colorful visuals helps to convey a message. I want to use this to educate people on the different ways in which we can conserve our soils, but I do not want to bore the viewer in words without images. Enjoy!
